Ironic Intro to Christmas Season

12/03/2009

Don’t miss my entry to the Christian Blog Carnival yesterday. For what seemed like an ironic welcome to the Christmas season, my blogging friend Peter Pollock and Bridget Chumbley picked the word GRIEF as the topic to blog about on December 1!

It was fun and very encouraging for bloggers and readers who supported the carnival. As of this writing, 44 blog posts have been written on the subject of grief by bloggers who came from different parts of the world including Japan, South Africa, Romania, Philippines, Canada, US, South Korea and Australia. I’m sure you you will love the diversity and the similarities of the stories.

The blog carnival is a blogging event held every two weeks by Peter and Bridget who I only met in Facebook and Twitter. For more information of the future topics, click here.

Thank you everyone.

Fresh Design, Fresh Content

11/29/2009

Christian ReflectionsAs I am in the process of doing a complete migration of Road to Recovery to ChristianReflections.org on December 15, I would like to invite all of you to take a sneak peak at what’s in store for all of us in the new site. In my latest post, I wrote about a few reasons why transferring to my other domain is better than keeping my blog here at WordPress.com. Here’s a snippet of that post.

The fresh look of this site coincides with the message that I want to put across in this blog. Three verses inspired me why I chose to put fresh fruits in my header. First, it reminds me of the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6: 11. “Give us this day our daily bread…” For most of us, we do our devotions in the morning when everything’s still peaceful. Reading the word of God is like having your first fresh and nutritious meal for the day. It’s the power that pushes us to go forward into the day and honor God with whatever it is that we are supposed to do at work.
